Elena Timofeeva is a teacher and the head of the Children's Art School Palace of Children and Youth in Petrozavodsk, and a sculptor of snow, ice, sand. As an artist, she also paints, and works with ceramics. Her work in snow and ice and introduced her to create large scale land art objects, often engaging children and adults Snow and Ice Sculpture community work in the Republic of Karelia, Russia.

Dmitrii Novitskii was born 31th of January in 1971 and has a higher education in art, graduating from Cherepovets State University. He works with various graphic and painting techniques, and specialises in installations, performance, snow, ice, sand and wooden sculpting. Dmitrii has taken part in different regional, zone, russian and international exhibitions and art projects and is a member of ‘The Union of artists in Russia’ since 2008. He is a teacher in the children’s art school in Murmansk.
With years of experience working in snow and ice, he is a well-known professional participant of competitions of a snow and ice sculpture in Russia, in Norway, in Finland. The main idea of his work is simplicity and expression of nature and natural forms as well as the ‘surrealism’ of everyday objects.

20 international professional artist teams challenge each other creating the best and most impressive snow sculpture. The sculpture park is situated just outside Kirovsk in North western Russia in Snegoled Snow Village who has more than 20 000 visitors each year.
